RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Imaging Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role offers a generous relocation or sign-on bonus of $10,000.

As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. Your commitment to patient care will be paramount as you provide Nuclear Medicine services that adhere to professional standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

In this position, you will support patients through their imaging journey, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy and clarity. This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday, with flexible eight-hour shifts starting between 6-8 AM, and includes a rotating on-call schedule. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Imaging Services

• Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to imaging to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers for accuracy.
• Clearly explain and prepare patients for Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for optimal results.
• Perform both routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses with minimal supervision and repeat scans, while providing ongoing support to patients throughout the procedure.
• Assess, prepare, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and departmental protocols.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety practices to maintain a secure work environment, which is essential for high-quality patient care.
• Adjust imaging parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
• Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
• Adhere strictly to physicians' orders and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of yourself, patients, and coworkers.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safe practices for patients and team members.
• Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
• Maintain imaging equipment in optimal condition, including cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
• Uphold all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) Departmental Support

• Execute and document daily quality control procedures on imaging equipment to guarantee proper functioning.
• Conduct daily and weekly departmental assessments to ensure adherence to radiation safety standards set by the department and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
• Report any contamination incidents to the Radiation Safety Officer.
• Assist in updating the imaging protocol manual and implementing software upgrades.
• Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, requesting replenishments as needed.
• Support the training of new team members by providing guidance and technical expertise, as applicable.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities
