Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Screen patients before exams to ensure safety and accuracy
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and positioning them for optimal results
- Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision
- Administer radioactive materials according to regulations and departmental policies
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform daily quality control procedures to ensure equipment accuracy
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Department Support
- Assist with maintaining departmental protocols and software upgrades
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed
- Assist with training new associates and providing technical expertise
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
