Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is offering a $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus for this role. We are seeking a dedicated Medical Imaging Technologist to become a vital part of our team. In this position, you will operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Your focus will be on providing exceptional patient care while adhering to professional standards and delivering outstanding customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and support; you will assist them through this process by explaining procedures and addressing their inquiries and concerns.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, including rotating day and evening shifts, with occasional weekend duties. We are open to providing training in mammography for those interested in expanding their skill set.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging Services

  • Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety and accuracy through the use of two patient identifiers.
  • Prepare and explain imaging procedures to patients, positioning them appropriately for optimal results.
  • Perform both routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating conditions, while maintaining patient comfort throughout the process.
  • Adjust imaging parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques where applicable.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Assist in the use of a Fluoroscopy C-Arm during surgical and outpatient procedures.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Help maintain an updated imaging protocol manual and assist with software upgrades.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Support the training of new team members by sharing knowledge and expertise.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
