Position Title: Resource Program Coordinator

Organization: Resource Center

Position Summary:

The Resource Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting both potential and current clients by responding to inquiries and requests for services with exceptional customer support. This role involves evaluating information gathered during initial assessments and providing guidance on community resources tailored to individual needs and preferences, while also overseeing resource program coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Referral: Evaluate individual circumstances to identify challenges and service requirements, and assess for possible resources. Communication methods may include phone, in-person visits, chat, or email. Explore client needs and provide solutions through community referrals or appropriate programs.

Conduct evaluations to align the presenting issues of clients with the appropriate staff member, and manage the scheduling process for intake with designated personnel.

  • Clinical Evaluation: Assess clients for mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, making suitable referrals to the behavioral health department based on individual needs and interests.
  • Resource Management: Identify, maintain, and share information on community resources by developing and sustaining a comprehensive database of organizations that offer assistance.
  • Customer Service: Enhance client satisfaction by promptly responding to inquiries and delivering high-quality service to external community members, partner agencies, and internal staff.
  • Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between external and internal resource programs and community partners, including conducting in-home assessments and individual meetings with clients, as well as completing necessary documentation as required by funding entities.
  • Compliance: Uphold client documentation standards by ensuring all required records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Community Representation: Act as a representative of the organization in the wider community at various programs.
  • Professional Development: Maintain expertise and technical knowledge by participating in agency training sessions, workshops, and educational opportunities.
  • Confidentiality: Adhere to organizational and client confidentiality policies by regularly reviewing the agency's privacy and security guidelines.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in annual philanthropic initiatives and campaigns related to the agency and its partners.
  • Mission Alignment: Reflect the mission and values of the organization in all professional activities. Utilize key strategies to ensure success in this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Resource Center Director as necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in intake or human services is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to create, manage, and maintain documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; adept at utilizing technology for remote work, including video conferencing tools; familiarity with agency Electronic Medical Records is required.
  • Communication: Articulates thoughts clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
