Nonprofit Accountant Job Description

At Creative Financial Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled Nonprofit Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our nonprofit clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Grant Management: Track and manage grant funding, ensuring compliance with all donor and grant requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports related to grant activities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Payroll and Reconciliation: Process payroll and reconcile related accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting principles, GAAP, and grants management.
