Lead Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at LHH Recruitment Solutions, you will play a crucial role in overseeing general accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other key accounts) to ensure proper financial reporting.
- Analyze financial results, compare actual performance to budget/forecast, and provide explanations for variances. Present findings to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
Salary: $45.00 to $52.00 per hour
