Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bus Procurement Engineer to join our Space Vehicle Engineering team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for procuring spacecraft buses that meet program requirements and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the program technical and leadership team to procure a bus that meets program requirements and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with low-cost commercial bus providers, understanding available bus supplier capabilities that enable future programs.
  • Perform competitive analysis on the bus market.
  • Lead bus procurement RFPs and selection in support of BAE Systems USA proposals.
  • Accountable for technical deliverables and ensuring they meet the needs of the program and requirements of the subcontract.
Requirements
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 12 or more years related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as a willingness to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Ability to self-start and operate in an environment of ambiguity when necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposals, systems engineering processes, including requirements development, requirement allocation, change management, verification, and validation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A current, active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) - CAM experience.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering expertise.
