Job Title: Principal Spacecraft Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our Space & Mission Systems group, you will be responsible for leading the development of spacecraft systems, including spacecraft subsystems, mission systems, and ground systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the development of spacecraft systems, including spacecraft subsystems, mission systems, and ground systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test spacecraft systems
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, interface control documents, and test plans
* Manage requirements using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
* Support the hardware assembly, integration, and test team, including test execution and anomaly resolution

Requirements:

* BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
* 6 or more years of related experience
* Experience with systems engineering tools and processes, including MBSE
* Experience in space systems engineering
* Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced software skills, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Confluence, DOORS, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, LabVIEW, Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, Systems Tool Kit (STK)
* Advanced language skills, such as MATLAB, Python, LINUX/UNIX, C, C++, IDL and other analytical tools
