Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist I to provide administrative and personnel security support to our team at JT4, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily administrative tasks in support of our site security department, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and personnel.
  • Communicate with clearance granting agencies to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearances for our employees and visitors.
  • Obtain certification of existing clearance levels for employees and visitors, and maintain accurate records of security badges issued.
  • Issue security badges to designated employees and visitors, and ensure that all necessary protocols are followed.
  • Maintain logs and records of badges issued and related information, providing a clear audit trail for our security procedures.
  • Schedule initial, periodic, and exit briefings, and notify supervisors and employees of upcoming schedules.
  • Coordinate with employees to ensure timely submittal of documents for initial clearances and periodic reinvestigations, and assist in facilitating security briefings for individuals and groups as required.
Requirements:
  • Military or technical training with one year of specifically related work experience in the NISPOM/SAP/SCI security fields, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Formal training such as successful completion of the Industrial Security Management Course, or equivalent training in a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors, and external agencies.
  • Proficient operating personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphics software, with the ability to learn new software and systems as needed.
  • Familiar with a standard intel computer system, laminating machine, and professional instamatic camera, with the ability to operate these tools effectively.
  • Qualify for and maintain a government security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary clearances for our employees and visitors.

Working Conditions:

This position involves work typical of an office environment, with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for routine communications.
