Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is in search of a dedicated, detail-oriented, and skilled professional for the role of Security Operations Specialist III.

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Security Operations Specialist III is to deliver comprehensive security assistance to a client's facility and organization. This role encompasses daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classification assessments of incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Support the upkeep of a document accountability system and related correspondence.
  • Manage the processing of classified mail and maintain receipt records.
  • Oversee the destruction of classified documents and manage magnetic media accountability.
  • Provide reproduction services for classified documents.
  • Maintain daily logs for various administrative tasks linked to document control.
  • Assist in the management of incoming data and outgoing data transfer files.
  • Facilitate the transfer of electronic data files to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of customer contact points.
  • Support the research, processing, filing, and management of visit notifications.
  • Escort visitors and maintain related logs.
  • Assist in preparing access control badges for facility entry.
  • Conduct inspections for entry and exit.
  • Help maintain facility access control systems, including visitor management.
  • Perform data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and keep customer-sponsored billets and quota information updated.
  • Assist in managing personnel security files for all individuals associated with the supported entity.
  • Adhere to and enforce the client's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support security awareness and educational initiatives.
  • Carry out various administrative support tasks as directed by the contractor site lead or Senior Security Representative.
  • Monitor and track security clearance processing activities with relevant government personnel to ensure appropriate clearance actions.
  • Participate in security compliance inspections for Air Force SAP across government and industry sectors.
  • Implement Top Secret Control for accountable materials and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and process classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
  • Review and process Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
  • Conduct reviews of candidates for SAP access through the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP.
  • Perform data entry and record checks in the Air Force Access Data System (AFADS) and keep all customer-sponsored personnel access information current.
  • Conduct indoctrinations.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent (4 years) experience.
  • Completion of DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training is required for personnel security functions.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with security policies/manuals and relevant DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding documents.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with various DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Exhibit a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR), which may involve extensive air and ground transportation.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking.

Communication Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, both via phone and in-person, along with excellent written and verbal command of English.
