Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Security Operations Specialist III is to deliver comprehensive security assistance to a client's facility and organization. This role encompasses daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classification assessments of incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Support the upkeep of a document accountability system and related correspondence.
  • Manage the processing of classified mail and maintain receipt records.
  • Oversee the destruction of classified materials and ensure proper accountability for magnetic media.
  • Provide reproduction services for classified documents.
  • Maintain daily logs for various administrative tasks linked to document control.
  • Assist in processing incoming data and transferring outbound data files.
  • Facilitate the transfer of electronic data files to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of customer contact points.
  • Support the research, processing, filing, and management of visit notices.
  • Escort visitors and maintain relevant logs.
  • Assist in preparing access control badges for facility entry.
  • Conduct inspections for entry and exit.
  • Help maintain access control systems, including visitor management.
  • Perform data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and keep all personnel access information updated.
  • Assist in maintaining security files for all personnel within the supported organization.
  • Adhere to and enforce the established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support security awareness and educational initiatives.
  • Carry out various administrative tasks as directed by the site lead or Senior Security Representative.
  • Monitor and track security clearance processing activities with relevant government personnel.
  • Participate in compliance inspections related to Air Force SAP security.
  • Implement Top Secret Control for accountable materials and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and process classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts.
  • Review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
  • Conduct reviews of candidates for SAP access through various investigative systems.
  • Perform data entry and record checks in the Air Force Access Data System (AFADS).
  • Conduct indoctrinations for new personnel.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • Completion of DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training is required for personnel security functions.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with security policies and manuals, including relevant DCIDs/JAFANs.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with DOD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication Skills: Excellent customer service skills through both phone and face-to-face interactions, along with strong written and verbal communication in English.
