Teaching Opportunities at the University of Cincinnati
The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach courses in horticulture. The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in horticulture, including urban agriculture, horticulture science, soil science and plant nutrition, hemp and medical cannabis, plant morphology, horticultural chemistry, and herbaceous ornamentals.
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Engage with students, provide feedback, and support their academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, horticulture, agriculture, or environmental science, with a focus on horticulture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in horticulture or a related field.
- Teaching experience, particularly in horticulture or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
