Job Title: Intake Coordinator

Northeast Family Services of Illinois is a leading provider of therapy services, with a strong presence in eight states. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team in Springfield.

Job Summary:

The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the registration and admissions process, including answering incoming calls, gathering referral information, verifying insurance coverage, and scheduling clients' appointments. This is a full-time position that requires excellent interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and gather referral information
  • Verify insurance coverage and schedule clients' appointments
  • Manage all aspects of the registration and admissions process
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in patient intake and scheduling
  • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
  • Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations
  • Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
