POSITION: Housekeeper (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)

COMPENSATION: Hourly Rate, plus Benefits eligibility

OVERVIEW

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring a pristine and welcoming atmosphere for residents, guests, team members, and vendors. This position is crucial for maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)

  • Uphold cleanliness standards in office spaces, residential units, laundry facilities, fitness areas, retail sections, and other communal spaces as instructed.
  • Thoroughly clean all restrooms, including countertops, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures in both residential and shared areas.
  • Vacuum carpeted regions and mop tiled surfaces as required.
  • Spot clean walls and windows to maintain visual appeal.
  • Dust furniture and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly.
  • Clean baseboards, artwork, lighting fixtures, and HVAC vents.
  • Assist in the collection of litter throughout the week.
  • Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies and household items.
  • Ensure proper utility settings in unoccupied units, adhering to community standards.
  • Communicate any service requests or important information to management regarding resident welfare.
  • Carry out additional housekeeping tasks or duties as assigned by management to promote efficient community operations.
  • Participate in weekly on-call duties as necessary.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with team members, residents, customers, vendors, and management.
  • Engage in Cardinal U training as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of professional housekeeping experience is essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with residents and team members.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Capability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 25 lbs.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Competence in completing all assigned tasks safely and effectively, in accordance with OSHA standards and community expectations.

Team members must be able to physically access all areas of the property and amenities, working in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet.

The team member must be capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or maneuvering weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
