Role Summary

The Automotive Cleaning Specialist is tasked with the meticulous cleaning of vehicles for our customers and the Sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply wax to vehicle exteriors and buff surfaces to maintain shine and protect finishes using cloths or buffing machines.
  • Vacuum vehicle interiors to eliminate loose dirt and debris.
  • Clean upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Use revitalizers and preservatives on vinyl or leather surfaces, treating fabrics with stain-resistant chemicals to safeguard interior components.
  • Clean engines and engine compartments with various agents to remove grease and grime.
  • Employ specialized cleaners to address stubborn foreign materials, following manufacturer recommendations.
  • Touch up chipped paint on vehicle surfaces using designated touch-up paint containers.
  • Apply reconditioning chemicals to restore color and condition to vinyl tops.

General Responsibilities

  • Arrive at work punctually and adhere to company standards.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor towards customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift items as needed.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Preferred knowledge of automotive parts and tools.
  • Basic understanding of chemical formulas for cleaning products and their effective application is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Work Environment

The role involves working both indoors and outdoors in an automotive service environment.
