Job Opportunity

Scuttlebutt Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Human Resources Manager and the Director of Human Resources with strategic and hands-on support in the areas of benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from all personnel on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating company events.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to HR Manager and/or HR Director.
  • Support HR Director with coordination of annual staff and attorney performance review process and maintain the evaluation database.
  • Assist with learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities.
  • Assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Maintain HRIS onboarding module and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Initiate background checks and conduct employee eligibility verifications.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR position required; experience in a legal environment a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems; knowledge of UKG a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through completion.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
