Position Overview

As an Overnight Certified Nursing Assistant at NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC, you will play a vital role in the engagement, assessment, and treatment planning process within our programs. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, you will ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in Group Living Environments (GLE) during overnight hours. This role involves providing direct support based on individual needs while adhering to all organizational policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remain alert and accessible to individuals throughout the overnight shift until the morning staff arrives.

• Conduct hourly check-ins with awake individuals and perform program walk-throughs. Review the Staff Communication Log and assess risk management plans.

• Maintain accurate documentation of each individual's progress in confidential records, following established procedures, and implement assigned interventions from treatment plans.

• Carry out household maintenance tasks as necessary to ensure a clean and safe environment.

• Engage in mandatory clinical and skills training to improve your competencies and knowledge base.

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including showering and laundry, as needed, ensuring cleanliness throughout the facility.


• Administer medications in accordance with MAP and DMH policies and protocols.


• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED is required. A valid C.N.A certificate is mandatory.
Experience: At least six months of experience working with similar populations in a human services setting is preferred.
Skills: Must possess MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification (training will be provided during orientation).
