Job Overview

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC, you will engage in the assessment, planning, and treatment processes within our programs. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Overnight C.N.A will ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in Group Living Environments (GLE) during overnight hours. This role involves providing direct support based on individual needs while adhering to all organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remain alert and accessible to individuals throughout the overnight shift until the morning staff arrives.

• Conduct hourly check-ins with awake individuals and perform a thorough walkthrough of the facility. Review the Staff Communication Log and risk management plans.

• Accurately document each individual's progress in confidential records, following established protocols, and implement assigned interventions from the treatment plan.

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the facility as required.

• Engage in all mandatory clinical and skills training to enhance your professional competencies.

• Assist individuals with personal care needs, including showering and laundry, ensuring a clean and supportive environment.

• Administer medications in accordance with MAP and DMH guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as directed by the Program Director or Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED is required. A valid C.N.A certification is mandatory.
Experience: At least six months of experience working with similar populations in a human services setting is preferred.
Skills: Must possess MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification (training will be provided during orientation).
