Job Title: Workday Financials Functional Architect

The Workday Financials Functional Architect is a senior-level professional responsible for providing expert guidance and delivery for Financials engagements. This individual serves as the billable functional lead on Workday Financials implementations, working closely with Engagement Managers, Managers, and functional area leads to ensure a robust and complete solution that meets customer needs and allows for future enhancements with limited rework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple, concurrent Workday Financials implementations to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Deliver Foundation Data Model (FDM) design sessions on Workday Financials Implementations to ensure efficient and accurate design and configuration of the delivered solution.
  • Oversee all functional areas on assigned implementations, ensuring cohesive structures and project communications are in place for cross-functional delivery between teams.
  • Mentor junior project resources by providing guidance, allowing them to learn new skills and functional areas, lead customer sessions, and configure the solution.
  • Serve as an advocate and escalation point for the EM and functional team, ensuring issues are being addressed and providing feedback to support continuous enhancement of tools and process.
  • Help team members understand and adhere to methodology, driving continuous optimization of the CynergyTM methodology and ensuring team members keep tools current.
  • Conduct internal Quality Assurance for Financials implementations to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Current Workday Financials Certification.
  • Foundation Data Model (FDM) Certification, desired.
  • Possess 2+ years of Workday Financials implementation experience.
  • Completed at least 3 full lifecycle Workday Financials implementations.
  • Led at least 2 Workday Financials implementations.
  • Possess project management and/or team lead experience.
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail-oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast-paced work environments.
