Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level I to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under the general supervision of a physician.
  • Equipment Calibration: Calibrate equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety techniques in the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED and certification by the State of California and registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • License and Certification: Nuclear Medical Technologist Certificate (California) and Basic Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical imaging principles and practices.
