About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level II to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Studies: Perform diagnostic studies on patients, utilizing scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce high-quality images of organs.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Preparation: Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer therapeutic doses under the supervision of a physician.
  • Equipment Calibration: Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow strict radiation safety techniques in the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Team Leadership: May direct and check the work of other Nuclear Medicine Technologists, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of continuous recent experience in nuclear medicine, with demonstrated ability to perform all procedures and processes.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Nuclear Medical Technologist Certificate (California), and Basic Life Support.
