Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Chief to lead our Communicable Disease Control team. As a key member of our public health team, you will be responsible for providing medical and administrative leadership in the control and prevention of infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and manage statewide programs for surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable diseases
  • Direct special investigations of instances or epidemics of communicable disease and outbreaks of foodborne infections and intoxications
  • Establish and transmit medical policy requirements to staff and apprise the Administration of important and sensitive public health issues
  • Recruit, train, and manage highly specialized medical and scientific experts in infectious disease, epidemiology, veterinary medicine, and vector control
  • Oversee the coordination between lab and epidemiologic staff in disease surveillance and investigations
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with broad and extensive administrative experience (over five years) as either a Board-eligible or Board-certified physician in a public health program. A Master's Degree in Public Health or its equivalent may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
