Position Overview

As a Security Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, employees, customers, and visitors. This position involves working the overnight shift and supporting general operations throughout the company premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safeguard Funko's facilities, products, and intellectual property.
  • Identify and mitigate potential security threats to operations.
  • Conduct security patrols across the Funko Campus, both on foot and in a provided vehicle.
  • Monitor video surveillance of both interior and exterior areas.
  • Be vigilant for unusual conditions that may pose security risks or safety hazards; manage building access as required.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures while adhering to local laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality during the collection and reporting of incidents.
  • Protect against theft, sabotage, and other risks to property.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Communicate effectively with emergency services regarding any suspicious activities.
  • Provide security escorts when requested.
  • Assist visitors and verify their requests for entry, offering guidance as necessary.
  • Support employees, customers, and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Actively promote safety and security awareness among staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in security or military roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with safety and security standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; experience in incident report writing is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Timely response to incidents with a sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
  • Professional appearance in line with company standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical capability to stand and patrol for extended periods while maintaining communication with team members.
