Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager

Position Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring Röchling Medical adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding environmental health and safety. This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining compliant policies and procedures that safeguard the well-being of our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute workplace safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Monitor, document, and report environmental health and safety metrics as mandated by Röchling Medical.
- Educate personnel on safety-related matters, including training sessions, emergency response protocols, and the correct usage of safety equipment.
- Assess existing policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and effective.
- Supervise daily operations and proactively identify areas for enhancement in safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and perform physical inspections of all work environments to detect potential safety hazards.
- Carry out risk assessments aimed at reducing workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and long-term health risks.
- Compile monthly or annual safety reports and present findings to management.
- Collaborate with management to strategize and implement a budget for safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and relevant state and federal safety legislation.
- Strong understanding of hazardous materials and practices in the workplace.
- Experience in drafting health and safety policies and procedures.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical reporting.
- Familiarity with safety management software, such as iAuditor, SiteDocs, and Safesite (preferred).
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a related field.
- Certification in occupational health and safety management (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk for extended periods.
- Capability to sit at a desk and work on a computer.
- Visual acuity for reading electronic documents and product labels.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work Environment:
This position involves a combination of warehouse and manufacturing settings, with interaction with various warehouse and manufacturing equipment.
