Job Summary

As a key member of the Johns Hopkins Medicine team, the Director of Revenue Analytics and Strategy will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of revenue management strategies to optimize financial performance. This role will involve directing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, pricing, and cost report activities, as well as interacting with senior managers, administrators, physicians, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to improve financial performance and optimize revenue streams.
  • Lead the development and implementation of budgeting, forecasting, and compliance processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and administrators to identify areas for revenue growth and implement strategies to achieve those goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including physicians, health services cost review commission, and auditors.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and drive revenue growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field is required; postgraduate degree is strongly preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare reimbursement regulations, cost accounting, and operations, including 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of HSCRC and Medicare regulations, health care planning, budgeting, pricing, and hospital organization is required.
  • Professional-level knowledge of finance or accounting, including regulatory compliance issues and comprehensive understanding of budget and price change planning procedures, is required.
  • High degree of knowledge of regulatory and cost accounting principles, revenue budgeting, and annual operating plan development is required.
  • Experience in developing and presenting financial information to executive-level audiences and coordinating staff in providing support services to clients in decentralized or consulting environments is required.
