Surgical Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician II to join our team at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. As a Surgical Technician II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and handled.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care and that all procedures are completed safely and efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or in a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
