Responsibilities- Prepare the Operating Room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, handling instruments and supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized Operating Room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to implement a plan of care that prioritizes patient needs and ensures timely and effective treatment.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Either prior OR experience or graduation from an approved surgical technician program.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
This role is based in the Operating Room at SSM Health, where you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and work in a constant state of alertness.
