The Operating Room Technician II PRN is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for procedures, including positioning, draping, and sterilizing equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field during procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing timely and efficient support to ensure smooth procedure execution.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- At least 1 year of experience required
- In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery
