About the Role

Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA) is seeking an experienced EHS Training Specialist to join our team at the Gigafactory in Reno, Nevada. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in assisting with the development and implementation of EHS training programs in support of our battery production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Training Programs: Assist in the design, creation, and implementation of EHS training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production managers, supervisors, safety champions, and other support teams to identify training needs and develop effective training solutions.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Regulatory Requirements: Evaluate and stay current on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and guidelines, including OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO, and EPA.
  • Design and Deliver Training Sessions: Create and deliver hands-on, instructor-led, and virtual training sessions for new and existing employees on EHS-related topics.
  • Review and Audit Training Content: Review and audit training content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness.
  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS): Oversee the use of LMS to create, deliver, and track training content.
  • Develop Safety Campaigns and Programs: Assist in the development of safety campaigns, slogans, best practices, and Behavior Based Safety Programs to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Prepare Reports and Summaries: Prepare reports and summaries for EHS management on training metrics, compliance, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in EHS, training, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in EHS and/or training, with a strong background in EHS regulations and guidelines.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and guidelines, experience with course creation tools, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Language: Fluent in English, with knowledge of Spanish and/or Tagalog a plus.
