Environmental Health and Safety Manager
We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health and Safety Manager to oversee our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring adherence to all environmental, health, and safety standards to foster a secure and eco-friendly workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ISO 14001 certification process and maintain compliance
- Evaluate data to pinpoint and prioritize ongoing enhancements of EHS Key Performance Indicators
- Generate all necessary internal and external environmental documentation (e.g., Tier II reports, form R, bi-annual waste reports, emission inventories, etc.)
- Formulate and execute safety initiatives and policies aimed at accident and injury prevention
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to detect and mitigate potential risks
- Educate staff on the proper management of hazardous substances and emergency protocols
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety legislation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related discipline
- Familiarity with ERP systems for managing environmental health and safety
- Preferred experience with ISO 14001 certification
- Understanding of hazardous materials and appropriate handling techniques
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
