This role will report directly to the Director of Events and will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of both live and virtual Central Publishing events, including consumer trade shows, press and creator preview events, and various mainstream activations.
The Events Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating global engagement hubs, ensuring that support and consistency are maintained across all international events. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in event management, coupled with a creative and strategic approach, exceptional project management capabilities, and outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a proven ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the global events lead, overseeing all facets of worldwide event strategy, budgets, and operations for assigned brands.
- Deliver exceptional live and remote experiences for global audiences, maximizing engagement and achieving event objectives.
- Collaborate with global engagement hubs, cross-functional teams, brand marketing, production, and operational teams to ensure event goals, attendee experience, and operational excellence are met at all worldwide events.
- Develop and implement event processes and tools, including budget trackers, project timelines, production schedules, event specifications, and onsite tracking documents to ensure consistency across the global network of engagement hub events.
- Provide hands-on support for publishing-led events that require live and/or virtual assistance, which may involve onsite pre-production, live event management, remote gameplay management, and staff training.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and both external and internal partners.
- Conduct post-event analysis and reporting for ROI evaluation.
- Support additional events for publishing teams as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Location in San Francisco is required - Hybrid position with two days onsite.
- 4-6 years of experience in event management and/or trade shows, with a proven history of managing experiential events and activations.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of handling complex logistics and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities and a knack for offering creative solutions.
- Strong budget management experience, ensuring alignment among project scope, stakeholders, agencies, and partners.
- Highly effective communicator, able to listen actively and convey information clearly across various groups.
- Experience in managing vendors, personnel, equipment, and timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
