Customer Service Associate Job Description

East Cambridge Savings Bank is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Associate to join our Retail Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process customer transactions, including cashing checks, selling money orders, and redeeming U.S. Bonds.
  • Assist customers with banking services, including opening and closing accounts, and processing related documents.
  • Train and evaluate the work performance of Clerk/Tellers in entry-level work, customer service standards, procedures, and services.
  • Take computer totals and reconcile individual daily work, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each transaction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience, with Teller experience or Retail Banking preferred.
  • General understanding of digital banking products.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and customer service experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Availability to work until closing and Saturdays.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
