THE ROLE

The Housekeeping Operations Associate is a versatile position that encompasses various responsibilities within the housekeeping sector. You will ensure that the hotel's communal spaces and grounds are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, adhering to company policies while delivering exceptional service to our guests. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a fully stocked and well-kept mini-bar throughout guests' stays, conducting regular inventory checks, and ensuring proper charges are posted before departure. You will also handle guest linens, including the preparation of soiled items for laundering, inspections, and the organization of clean linens.

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Sanitizing and cleaning designated public areas in line with company and franchise guidelines. Assisting the executive housekeeper with various tasks such as deliveries and waste management.
  • Ensuring that hotel equipment, including carts and vacuums, is properly maintained and secured.
  • Using cleaning supplies and chemicals correctly, ensuring all bottles are labeled according to safety policies.
  • Providing outstanding customer service that exceeds guest expectations and promptly addressing their requests.
  • Tracking and completing daily mini-bar inventory worksheets.
  • Restocking mini-bar items in guest rooms.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the mini-bar pantry.
  • Checking mini-bar products for expiration and following procedures for removal of outdated items.
  • Rotating mini-bar products to ensure freshness.
  • Maintaining assigned mini-bar carts.
  • Completing service requests for mini-bar in designated rooms.
  • Adhering to safety and operational procedures.
  • Reporting any mini-bar issues or guest concerns to management.
  • Sorting, separating, and laundering soiled linens from guest accommodations.
  • Timely preparation of food and beverage linens.
  • Inspecting laundered items for cleanliness and readiness for service.
  • Folding and/or pressing linens as necessary.
  • Managing linen and laundry supplies, including cleaning agents.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the laundry area.
  • Storing folded linens in the designated supply area.
  • Conducting inventories as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Keeping the linen area organized and well-stocked.
  • Wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag as per company grooming standards.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding guest requests and task statuses.
  • Reporting all incidents and injuries to the relevant supervisor.
  • Contributing ideas for operational improvements and participating in training and development initiatives.
  • Completing any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor, including training new team members.
  • Performing all other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING - Previous experience in housekeeping or customer service, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
