THE ROLE

The Housekeeping Operations Specialist plays a vital role within the housekeeping division. You will ensure that the hotel's communal spaces and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, adhering to company protocols while delivering exceptional service to our guests. Your responsibilities will also include managing the mini-bar inventory, ensuring it is consistently stocked and well-kept throughout a guest's stay. Regular cleaning and inventory checks of mini-bars will be part of your daily tasks, along with posting charges to guest accounts prior to their departure. Furthermore, you will oversee all aspects of linen management, including the preparation, inspection, folding, and storage of clean linens.

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Sanitizing and maintaining assigned public areas in line with company and franchise standards. Assisting the executive housekeeper with various tasks as needed.
  • Ensuring that all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and secured.
  • Using cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance with safety protocols, ensuring all bottles are correctly labeled.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service that exceeds guest expectations and promptly addressing their requests.
  • Tracking and completing daily mini-bar inventory worksheets.
  • Restocking mini-bar items in guest rooms.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the mini-bar pantry.
  • Regularly checking mini-bar products for expiration and following procedures for removal of expired items.
  • Ensuring proper rotation of all mini-bar products.
  • Maintaining assigned mini-bar carts and completing service requests for mini-bar replenishment.
  • Adhering to safety and operational procedures.
  • Reporting any mini-bar issues or guest concerns to management.
  • Handling soiled linens from guest rooms with care, ensuring proper laundering processes.
  • Preparing food and beverage linens in a timely manner.
  • Inspecting laundered items for cleanliness and usability.
  • Folding and/or pressing linens as required.
  • Managing linen and laundry supplies, including cleaning agents.
  • Keeping the laundry room clean and organized.
  • Conducting inventories as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Maintaining a tidy and well-stocked linen area.
  • Wearing the designated uniform and name tag as per company grooming standards.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding guest requests and assigned duties.
  • Reporting all incidents and injuries to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Contributing ideas for operational improvements and participating in training initiatives.
  • Completing any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor, including training new team members.
  • Performing other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION - High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE - Previous experience in housekeeping or customer service, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
