Production Coordinator

Job SummaryAmerlux, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-end lighting solutions, is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join its team in Oakland, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production lines, managing material flow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet lead time commitments.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and lead times.
  • Manage inventory levels, track material transactions, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to ensure timely material availability and anticipate potential delays.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure that production lines have all necessary materials to begin assembly.
  • Train and mentor material handlers/pickers on planner-specific products and ensure accuracy of material brought to the lines.
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance lead times, quality, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality expectations, adhering to OSHA and Amerlux requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with various departments and levels of management.
  • Proficient in Oracle and thorough understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain management and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions.
