We are seeking a skilled Rad/CT Technologist to become a part of our esteemed healthcare team at Texas Health Resources.

Location: Texas Health Allen

Schedule: Per Diem, Variable Shifts

Department Highlights:

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program is required.
  • Associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience in operating room settings is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a radiologic technician without ARRT (CT) certification is required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology is required upon hire.
  • ARRT certification in CT is required upon hire, with or without prior radiology technician experience.
  • CMRT certification from TDH or TMB is required upon hire.
  • BCLS certification must be obtained prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate procedures to patients or guardians prior to examinations.
  • Position patients accurately for the anatomical area of interest.
  • Perform complex imaging procedures considering age-related factors.
  • Adjust imaging techniques based on patient-specific needs.
  • Assist radiologists with intricate and invasive procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Process and manipulate images, ensuring quality and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Follow proper procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS downtime.
  • Evaluate and recognize the emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions of patients.
