About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician II PRN to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. As an Echo Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiography diagnostic procedures, including two-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler imaging. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiography diagnostic procedures, including two-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler imaging, to visualize cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels.
  • Integrate echocardiography results with other diagnostic tests, such as clinical laboratory tests, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac catheterization, for clinical correlation.
  • Accurately document abnormal echocardiography and Doppler velocities indicative of cardiovascular pathophysiology.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot problems.
  • Assist in new staff member orientation and prepare patients for procedures.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Certified Cardiographic Technologist.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification within 90 days of employment start date.
