Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist - PRN
Join our team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, high-volume department. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations. You will also be responsible for explaining procedures to patients or guardians/family members, positioning patients to correct anatomical areas of interest, and maintaining attention to details.
Responsibilities:
Explains procedures to patients or guardians/family members prior to exams
Positions patients to correct anatomical areas of interest
Performs complex procedures, including age-related criteria and developmental considerations
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age-related factors
Assists radiologists with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
Maintains attention to details
Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required
Associate's Degree preferred
2 Years in Nuclear Medicine preferred
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine Upon Hire Req Or
CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist NMTCB Upon Hire Req And
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire Req And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
