Position Overview:

The Senior UI Developer will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, construction, monitoring, and maintenance of both new and existing software and lightning applications. This position is situated within our On-Device Commerce engineering team, which operates in a dynamic 24/7 environment. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering mindset and a commitment to quality, thriving in an agile setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with project stakeholders to clarify product and technical specifications, conducting thorough analyses to identify integration requirements.
  • Design and develop new software and web applications, while also providing support for ongoing projects and customizing existing solutions.
  • Mentor junior Software Development Engineers, sharing knowledge of internally developed software applications.
  • Oversee the creation and refinement of documentation, including evaluation plans, technical manuals, and formal reports.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements within the industry, assessing competitive applications and practices.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design phase, offering guidance on best practices and methodologies.
  • Assist in tracking performance metrics to ensure timely delivery of software that meets specifications and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to verify that applications align with technical requirements.
  • Exhibit expertise in engineering methodologies and their application within the specified domain.
  • Demonstrate strong process design skills, effectively communicating architectural and design decisions to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and be prepared to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Lightning Application development and JavaScript/NodeJS.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Expertise in integrating with various back-end service architectures, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with Concourse.
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
