Job Summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a highly skilled Learning Technologies Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for the Learning Management System (Canvas), learning products and applications, and other related business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and configure assigned applications, specifically the LMS-Canvas, to meet the needs of our students and stakeholders.
  • Provide end-user production support for issues entered into issue tracking systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, partner teams, and enterprise customers to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Coordinate UAT testing and manage metrics for all testing outcomes, including execute, pass, fail, block, and defect.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, QA, and Developers to understand requirements and build solutions that maximize the application's potential through configuration.
  • Document team processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Cross-train other members of the learning technologies support team to foster a culture of collaboration and expertise sharing.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in company-wide compliance initiatives and support external auditors, regulatory auditors, and other 3rd parties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience, including experience using, configuring, and supporting an SIS, FMS, LMS, or CRM application.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Canvas administrator, 3+ years preferred.
  • Experience with centralized course deployment and templated course copy processes and procedures.
  • Experience with API, LTI, and data reporting technologies.
  • Experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
  • Experience managing customer relationships.
