Job Summary

Western Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist II to support geophysical projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, acquiring, processing, and troubleshooting geophysical data in both remote-field and office-type environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute geophysical projects, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior-level management to ensure timely completion of project tasks.
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
  • Provide field supervision and training to support personnel, as needed.
  • Assist with the development of technical reports and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in geophysical technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geophysics, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering, with a water or environmental resource emphasis.
  • 5+ years of experience in a geophysical services firm or department, with at least 50% of time spent in the field.
  • Proficiency in geoscience-related software, including Surfer, Grapher, RockWorks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
