Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the quality assurance team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our products and processes comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including FSMA and GFSI requirements.
  • Quality Control: Develop and implement effective quality control measures to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including production teams, to ensure that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to the quality assurance team to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of leadership experience in quality assurance, quality control, and food safety in the food industry.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GFSI schemes, HACCP, and food safety principles. Ability to lead 3rd party audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Certifications: PCQI certification and experience with HACCP/Quality Assurance Programs.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Environmental Conditions: Extreme climate or climate variation, heat up to 110 degrees and as low as 10 degrees, rotating and oscillating equipment, exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, standing and walking on concrete floor.
