Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of academic-based medical care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist management, care, and post-procedure follow-up of patients undergoing Radiology/IR Department or receiving sedation in accordance with an established plan of care under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Physicians.
- Must be able to cover all areas of Radiology, including offsite facilities, and assist with Breast Cancer biopsies and patient care.
- Provide excellent IV skills, Cardiac Catheterization, and Interventional Radiology experience.
- NYS RN License and BSN required.
- BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association are required.
- PALS from the American Heart Association required or must be obtained within 6 months.
- Conscious Sedation Competency Certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Telemetry and Critical Care, Cardiac Rhythm monitoring knowledge required.
