Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will provide clinical services in multiple modalities, adhering to Imaging practice standards. This role requires a strong understanding of Imaging principles, anatomy, and pathology processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Administer radiation protection procedures, utilizing collimation devices and protective shielding to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Perform routine quality control testing of equipment and recognize the need for routine maintenance to maintain consistent image quality.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent, assisting physicians in optimizing examination performance and interpretation.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography.
  • ARRT Registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Must obtain certification in CT within one year of training.
  • 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 3 months.
