Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiologic principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practice according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Assist in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
  • Assist physicians in performing a variety of examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program.
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Upon Start Must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free-standing Imaging Center not affiliated with an Inova hospital.
  • One year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology.
  • Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
