Key Responsibilities
  • Represent ALLETE before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on complex corporate matters and regulatory issues.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to ALLETE officers and executives on legal issues related to FERC regulation and policy.
  • Manage internal projects and external counsel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in diverse project teams and provide counsel on corporate transactional and compliance matters.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in Minnesota.
  • At least six years of relevant legal experience, including experience with FERC and corporate matters.
  • Experience with energy, regulated utility, licensing, and complex commercial contracting is a plus.
