Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product lines, pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, product uses, and inventory levels.
  • Support our Outside Sales staff by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Enter orders and record comments and actions taken.
  • Upsell and suggest add-ons or related products.
  • Resolve customer service issues or billing complaints.
  • Exchange merchandise, refund money, and adjust bills.
  • Initiate product procurement for approval of inter-branch transfer of merchandise.
  • Notify purchasing agents when supplies of specific items are low.
  • Send out product samples and literature.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • College courses or equivalent training and experience (a plus).
  • Previous sales and/or customer service skills (a plus).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
