Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries regarding product lines, pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, product uses, and inventory levels.
- Support our Outside Sales staff by providing accurate and timely information.
- Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Enter orders and record comments and actions taken.
- Upsell and suggest add-ons or related products.
- Resolve customer service issues or billing complaints.
- Exchange merchandise, refund money, and adjust bills.
- Initiate product procurement for approval of inter-branch transfer of merchandise.
- Notify purchasing agents when supplies of specific items are low.
- Send out product samples and literature.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- College courses or equivalent training and experience (a plus).
- Previous sales and/or customer service skills (a plus).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
