Job Summary

As a Mechanical Project Manager II at TDIndustries, you will lead or coordinate construction projects, developing new facilities, expanding existing ones, or renovating/altering facilities in collaboration with project teams, construction sites, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop assignments, timetables, and responsibilities for team members throughout the project duration.
  • Organize and direct construction personnel, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment resources.
  • Review various reports to determine project status and identify necessary actions.
  • Provide periodic status updates and end-of-contract cost and budget analysis.
  • Conduct pre-job planning meetings, document results, and ensure completion of action items.
  • Develop and maintain current project schedules, ensuring alignment with the master project schedule.
  • Establish and execute subcontracts and equipment buy-outs to support schedules and budgets.
  • Communicate project issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Assemble project estimates, review final estimates, and ensure proper loading into the project cost system.
  • Prepare and submit monthly contract billings to ensure proper cash flow.
  • Manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades, or colleagues.
  • Identify and develop policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar engineering degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
