Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Construction Project Manager to oversee and ensure the timely and budget-compliant execution of mechanical construction projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of relevant project management experience, preferably within a mechanical contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring successful completion;
- Manage project operations, including labor productivity, scope management, scheduling, client relations, and cost control;
- Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and updates;
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in collaboration with the Safety Director;
- Coordinate procurement of materials and services with the purchasing department;
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of project correspondence and reports;
- Adhere to company policies and operational procedures;
- Supervise and guide the work of direct reports.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in mechanical construction or plumbing project management;
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the mechanical industry;
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-million dollar projects;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software;
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong mathematical skills for business functions;
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Effective time management and attention to detail.
Physical and Work Environment:
The role involves regular sitting and computer work, as well as travel to field locations. Employees may encounter various environmental conditions, including outdoor work and exposure to construction site hazards.
