Job Summary:
Rockingham Clinical Lab is seeking a per diem Medical Lab Tech to join our team. As a Medical Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in our operations, covering various testing sections, including blood bank, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient education and answer questions regarding tests.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist in teaching Clinical Laboratory Science students and Pathology residents, as well as training new employees.
  • Monitor daily laboratory operations and participate in special projects.
  • Perform routine and standardized tests using standard techniques and equipment.
  • Prepare specimens, resolve specimen problems, and perform analytical tests.
  • Record test results and maintain records.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification eligibility and certification within a year.

Work Details:

  • Per Diem position.
  • 10.00 standard hours per week.
  • $30.02 per hour (Hiring Range).

Work Environment:
UNC Rockingham Health Care, RHC LabClinical, Onsite, Variable schedule.
